Stow-on-the-Wold

Set high on a hill with sweeping countryside views, Stow-on-the-Wold is one of the Cotswolds' most historic market towns. Once a major trading centre, it is now known for its antique shops, traditional English inns and charming town square. It's an ideal stop for browsing, coffee breaks and soaking up classic Cotswolds atmosphere.

Lower & Upper Slaughter

Often described as two of the prettiest villages in England, Lower and Upper Slaughter feel untouched by time. Stone cottages line the gentle River Eye, footbridges cross clear streams, and peaceful country lanes connect the two villages. These are perfect spots for scenic walks, photography and experiencing rural England at its most tranquil.

Bourton-on-the-Water

Famous for its low stone bridges crossing the River Windrush, Bourton-on-the-Water is one of the most photographed locations in the UK. With riverside cafés, charming shops and traditional stone houses, it offers a lively yet picturesque atmosphere — ideal for strolling, lunch stops and unforgettable photos.

Bibury

Bibury is known worldwide for Arlington Row, a row of 17th-century weavers' cottages that has become an icon of English countryside beauty. Alongside the River Coln, this small village feels wonderfully peaceful and historic, making it a favourite for visitors wanting a true storybook setting.

Castle Combe

Nestled in a wooded valley, Castle Combe is frequently voted one of the prettiest villages in England. With its medieval stone bridge, winding lanes and historic cottages, it looks straight out of a period film — and in fact has featured in many movies and TV productions.

Chipping Campden

A traditional market town with arts, crafts and historic buildings, Chipping Campden sits at the northern edge of the Cotswolds and marks the start of the famous Cotswold Way walking trail. It combines lively local culture with beautiful countryside views and makes a wonderful base or scenic stop.
